CELLULOSE INSULATION
Enviro-Living Solutions is an Authorised Cellulose installer of CZ Cellulose Insulation.
CZ Cellulose Insulation contains no harmful fibres or any substances that will negatively influence your health or the environment.
CZ Cellulose Insulation cannot burn, rot or be eaten by rodents or insects. Because it is made from 100% recycled paper, it provides excellent insulation properties and contributes to the environment by keeping paper off the landfill sites.
CZ Cellulose Insulation can be installed in any roof type, from standard, to flat metal roofs. It's especially suited for flat roof where there is very little, if any, space to roll out batting material.
Manufacturing CZ Cellulose is a simple milling and fiberising process and using very little electricity to produce. This eases the load of the power grid meaning less power, less emissions.
R-Value:2.56 @ 100mm as tested according to SANS 1381.6(2004)
Noise reduction is achieved in three ways with cellulose.
- The first is that cellulose completely fills cavities leaving few air pockets for sound to travel in.
- The second is the cellulose materials ability to trap air.
- The significant difference between noise reduction with cellulose and fibreglass is its density. Cellulose is approximately three times denser then fibreglass. This helps deaden the sound through walls and between floor levels.
Several installation options allow walls to have a Sound Transmission Class (STC) of 50 or greater. As a comparison, walls with fibreglass batts have an STC of 36-39, depending on stud and screw spacing.
